LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

On May 1, 2020 Langham Creek High School seniors will celebrate one of the biggest nights of their year – the senior prom. A long-standing tradition is for our students to attend Project Prom immediately after prom. Project Prom is a chaperoned drug‐free and alcohol‐free lock-in event held at Dave & Buster’s that runs from midnight until 5 a.m. Senior students can bring their prom date, come with friends, or come alone, and they are welcome to attend Project Prom without having attended Prom. In 2020 we’re anticipating over 700 young adults will attend this event.

Langham Creek is one of the only remaining CyFair high schools to host a Project Prom. This is because the parents Langham Creek still see the value in hosting a safe, fun, and secure event for our students. Additionally, Project Prom allows students who might not be able to attend prom for financial reasons an economical way to celebrate with their classmates. As you can imagine, it is a HUGE investment to host an event of this size – which is why the parents of the Class of 2020 began working in June 2019 to raise funds to support Project Prom.

We are kindly asking that you join us in helping promote a safe environment for the seniors of Langham Creek High School and their dates. As Project Prom is a 501 (c)(3) organization, your contributions are tax‐deductible. In addition to providing a safe and fun environment for our seniors, sponsors receive recognition on our website and with the parents and student body of Langham Creek High School.

Without your help, Project Prom will not happen. Your monetary donation is used to defray the costs of food, entertainment, transportation, and safety on the night of the event. Our campaign goal is $75,000. This will allow us to include as many of the senior class as possible.

Thank you in advance for your support. Together we can help make some lifelong memories for our students – and ensure their safety in the process.
